Lottie B. Curtis was a respected figure in the Jeter Community and the patriarch of the Curtis/Gray family. He dedicated his life to serving others and was known as a pillar of the community. He served as a neighborhood watchman and deeply cared for his family and neighbors. His great- grandson, Representative Jeremy Gray, continues this legacy through The Curtis House, a non-profit organization that offers various resources to uplift the Jeter Community and beyond.
One of these resources is the Lottie B. Curtis Scholarship. Each year, the Curtis/Gray family and the board members of The Curtis House will select two scholarship recipients who embody the Curtis/Gray legacy by helping to uplift the next generation.
